The Photographers

Elisabeth Gordon
Instagram: @elisabethgordon2020
Elisabeth Gordon is a Denver-based artist who focuses on manipulated images and
alternative photographic printing such as cyanotype, van dyke, and gum bichromate. While her
interest in history and tactility is what drives her process, her work is mostly used as a way of
communicating ideas of memory, nostalgia, and connection, all stemming from her personal life
and the world at large. With her work she hopes to start impactful conversations for individuals
both in and out of the art world.

What does home sweet home mean to you?:
“Home sweet home” is synonymous with relief, with finally arriving at a place where you can
bring yourself comfort, with a feeling of return.

Dylan Matzke
Instagram: @_lostmedia__
I'm a Denver-based filmmaker and photographer. I'm currently working as lead editor at
F4D Studio creating documentaries and branded content. Alongside my client work, I create
narrative films and personal photography projects that explore concepts that challenge
perception, and invite viewers to reflect on the human experience.

What does home sweet home mean to you?:
"Home Sweet Home" to me is the search for that feeling of belonging and familiarity. Home can
be found in something as simple as a song. But we are all searching for what makes us feel
most at home.

Billie
Instagram: @heavylight____
Billie is a multidisciplinary artist and educator currently based in Denver, Colorado. They
have been an analog photographer for 11 years, with a focus in documentary, portraiture, and
experimental photography. Billie’s work explores self-identity, home, community, and mental
health.

What does home sweet home mean to you?: Home is a feeling ~ of safety, familiarity,
comfort. Home can be a place, a person, a room, a community, an ocean. Sometimes it’s
somewhere you decorate with your little things, and share with your favorite people. Somewhere you eventually might have to leave, and say goodbye to, until you build your next version of home somewhere else.

Dustin Randall Keirns
Instagram: @dustinkeirns
Dustin Randall Keirns’ photographic practice examines the relationship between humans
and the landscape through a dialogue of place and self. Influenced by classic landscape
photography, he approaches the land as both subject and collaborator, where scale, form, and
light shape an emotional and psychological experience. His photographs emerge from moving
slowly through these outdoor spaces, revealing the meeting point between wilderness and
human presence—where history, identity, and place converge.
What does home sweet home mean to you?: Home sweet home, to me, is both a familiar
place I come back to time and time again and a space I carry within me. It is where place and
identity converge—where I feel grounded, present, and human. It's somewhere I ponder
thoughts, nourish curiosities, and sometimes confront shadows.

Woody Roseland
Instagram: @WoodyRoseland
Woodrow Walter Roseland (WOODY) is a multi-disciplinary artist that is highly skilled in
photography, filmmaking, painting, and writing artist bios in the third person. As part of his
ground-breaking oeuvre (it’s a snobby French word that us REAL ONES use, meaning:
collection of works), Woody ALSO writes artist bios in the first person. Hi, I’m Woody, I’m an
artist, and now I’m inside your brain, what do I want to do with this immense power? Well, I’ve
left you a very important message, it has been covertly implemented inside my photo projects,
nationally airing comedic commercials, short films, paintings, and social media ephemera. It is
absolutely imperative that you receive this message at once. You'll know what to do.

What does home sweet home mean to you?:The way I interpret Home Sweet Home is by
examining and interrogating what people choose to bring into their home, which is ultimately
what this project is about. The home is not a neutral container. It is a curated environment,
shaped by taste, memory, aspiration, and self-mythology. Every object that crosses its threshold
has passed a quiet but meaningful test. Does this belong with me? Does this belong with my
life? As they say, the medium is the message. Some photos can be immensely popular on
Instagram, but you put that same image on the wall of your home and it would be insane. And
perhaps the inverse is true as well. I want to create something that is soft and comforting and is
like an old friend that you’re glad to share space with.

Ryan Sheetz
Instagram: @ryansheetz
Ryan Sheetz is a Denver based cinematographer and photographer most often found
exploring the mountains of Colorado. Drawing inspiration from time spent outdoors, his images
aim to capture fleeting moments, mood, and a sense of place. After more than a decade
creating commercial work in the snow sports and tourism industries, he has recently found
renewed inspiration through film photography.

What does home sweet home mean to you?: Home sweet home means comfort, peace and
warmth - wherever those feelings exist.

Katie
Instagram: @kseversonphoto
Katie Severson is a Denver-based photographer with a BFA in Photography from the
Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Using both digital and analog formats, her work
centers on found objects and overlooked spaces in nature. Through observation and
exploration, she uses the camera to question why environments are structured the way they are
and how visual worth is defined. Her images are discovered rather than staged, revealing subtle
beauty within the everyday.

What does home sweet home mean to you?: Home sweet home is a place of comfort,
familiarity, and quiet reflection, filled with memories and nostalgia. It lives in small moments—a
relative’s smile, footprints along a familiar path, and the sense of belonging.
